Fun-Filled Local Race
The Trybee Sprint Triathlon is located at Tybee Island, GA which is just down the road for our CTC members. This local race is a crowd pleaser and a huge draw for our outstanding triathletes on a sunny day in June. CTC had a huge showing of outstanding attendance which made this race even more fun. Smiles and cheers rang through the air as the many CTC members raced alongside each other. The love and support showed with their beaming faces of pride and joy.
There were only a few hundred participants for this sprint triathlon which made the swim waves comfortable. The swim was in the Atlantic ocean which means visibility was not the greatest but there were very little waves which made for smooth sailing. The athletes exited the water for an easy run up the packed sand to T1 which was located in the parking lot.
The bike course followed the easy path down the road to Fort Pulaski. For anyone that is a history buff, getting to ride through the Fort Pulaski is a real treat. The ride back was peaceful all the way into T2. The run course was just as easy to follow making this race a fun-filled adventure. There were no medals but many of our CTC members rocked the course and walked away with a personalized Trybee Sprint Triathlon award beach towel. Congrats to those outstanding rock stars.
